Steven John

Steven John is CIO at AmeriPride Services, having assumed this role in September 2014. Previously, Steven was Strategic CIO of Workday, where he worked closely with Workday customer CIOs and IT groups to help them realize the full benefits of Workday and cloud computing. As an integral part of Workday’s technology leadership team, Steven played a key role in ensuring Workday continues to adhere to the industry’s highest IT standards and processes. Steven was also the CIO at H. B. Fuller Company, a specialty chemical manufacturer and early Workday customer.

In 2006, Steven was selected by Computerworld magazine as one of its Premier 100 IT Leaders. In 2008, he was presented the Leadership award by the CIO Executive Council. In 2009, under Steven’s leadership, H.B. Fuller was ranked 109th out of 500 by InformationWeek magazine as a leader in the use of business technology. In 2010, Steven was also recognized by InformationWeek as a relentless innovator for his work implementing cloud solutions.

Steven has taught IT leadership courses in NYC for the past 10 years and has served as a Mentor in the Pathways leadership development program. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of Utah and completed graduate work at Temple University.
