Ben Cabrera

As a global IT business leader, Ben Cabrera has more than 25 years of experience leading successful organizations in fast-paced, challenging environments. He was named Chief Information Officer at Covanta in late October 2017 after having held several IT leadership roles since 2010. Covanta is a leading provider of sustainable waste to energy solutions with revenues of $1.75B. Prior to joining Covanta, Ben held positions of increasing responsibility in the aerospace and pharmaceutical industries, working for such companies as Schering Plough, Pfizer and GEC-Marconi. A veteran, he spent 11 years in active and reserve aviation units in the U.S. Marine Corps. Ben holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA) from New York University’s Stern School of Business Management and an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology.
