Danny Ray

Danny Ray is the Senior Vice President of Card Operations and is responsible for strategy and operations for a credit, fraud, collection and recovery organization with nearly 4,000 associates. He has more than 30 years of financial, banking and leadership experience.

From 2006 to 2012, Danny served as president of the student loan business at JPMorgan Chase before serving in the same role for Discover Financial Services from 2013 to 2017. In these roles, he led associates representing sales, product development, marketing, call center originations, loan servicing, finance, risk management and information technology. He also led the development and execution of overall business strategy.

Prior to his general manager roles, he served in senior risk management roles for NationsBank, Bank One/JPMorgan Chase and Toyota Motor Credit. He has extensive experience in all the consumer lending asset classes as well as both prime and sub-prime credit quality.

Danny has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Franklin University and an MBA from Capital University – both in Columbus, Ohio. He is also a graduate of the Consumer Banking Association’s Retail Bank Management program at the University of Virginia.
