As Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Dave Cotteleer is responsible for providing strategic direction and management of information services for Harley-Davidson, Inc. and its business units and subsidiaries worldwide. Cotteleer brings significant strengths to this role including strong relationships and credibility with stakeholders, a deep understanding of Harley-Davidson’s business strategy and culture, and broad experience in process design and performance improvements.

Since joining Harley-Davidson in 1998, Cotteleer has delivered results through effective development and execution of strategies in alignment with company goals. He has held leadership positions in operations, supply chain, sales and product development, and has a well-established track record of strong leadership and capabilities.  Prior to being named CIO in 2011, he served as Senior Director, International Strategic Projects, responsible for leading the development of Harley-Davidson’s “Street 500 & 750” motorcycle platform along with key market entry initiatives.

From 2005-2007, Dave served as Vice President of Procurement – Contract Manufacturing and Logistics for Sara Lee Corporation.  In this role, Dave was responsible for supplier development and procurement of food and beverage products sold under various national brands for Sara Lee. In addition, he has held senior leadership positions at Action Packed, Inc.

Cotteleer also serves as Chairman of the Board for Heritage Christian Schools, Inc. in New Berlin, WI.

Cotteleer holds a bachelor of science degree in Finance from Northern Illinois University, and a master of science degree in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University.
