Jay Schiele

Jay is the Technical Leader of the Advanced Analytics team within IT’s Data Analytics and Insights (DA&I) group for Rockwell Automation (RA). The team drives the Connected Enterprise through OT/IT convergence by applying AI/ML technologies to iIOT and ERP data. Recent accomplishments include creating a model that achieves 90+% accuracy in predicting defects within RA’s Surface Mount Technology (SMT) manufacturing lines, reducing waste and improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metrics. He joined Rockwell Automation in 2011 responsible for the design and implementation of RA’s global Marketing Automation Platform.
Prior to joining RA, Jay was VP Consulting at Hunter Business Group delivering Customer Loyalty and Sales Effectiveness programs to organizations such as Master Card, United Health Group and Johnson Controls. Jay served five years as President and COO of ABS Inc., an IT services provider, and brought to market one of the first, fully IP-based call centers in the U.S., servicing over 60,000 users.
Early accomplishments include IT service operations as Inacom’s Program Executive for Motorola NA and Tenneco Packaging, Branch Manager for Entex, and eight years Sales and District Management in Germany for Harris/Lanier. Jay holds his BA in Economics from Ripon College.
