Peter Kelly

Peter Kelly is president of KAR Digital Services and chief technology officer of KAR Auction Services, Inc.

As president of KAR Digital Services, Kelly oversees a number of digital businesses within the KAR portfolio of companies. As chief technology officer, Kelly is responsible for implementing technology best practices across all KAR business units, identifying and offering insight on appropriate technology-related investments and tracking technology standards, industry trends and emerging technologies.

Prior to his current role, Kelly was co-founder, president and chief executive officer of OPENLANE, which KAR acquired in late 2011. At OPENLANE, Kelly led the company’s strategic direction from the early concept stage to becoming one of the leading online wholesale automotive auctions in North America.

Prior to his work with OPENLANE, Kelly spent eight years managing engineering, construction and procurement projects for Taylor Woodrow, a U.K.-based construction and development firm.

Kelly holds an engineering degree from University College Dublin and an MBA from Stanford University.
