Sathish Muthukrishnan

Sathish is Vice President and Technology Head of Digital Partnerships, Big Data Labs and Enterprise API Engineering. In this role, Sathish leads the E2E technology strategy, capability development and underlying platforms to power the company’s data-driven digital products, commerce and Big Data capabilities. Sathish is also responsible for defining and delivering the Enterprise API platform that will host Amex’s external APIs, bringing together a cohesive set of features and capabilities for merchants, partners and developers. Sathish and team lead the transformation of the company's key network assets into innovative digital partnerships to create unique value for customers in mobile and web applications. Sathish has led the launch of several unique, industry-first, ground breaking digital products enabling strategic partnerships with foursquare, Facebook, twitter, XBOX, Apple, Samsung and TripAdvisor. He also led the development and launch of key Amex network platforms such as Card SYNC, Smart Offers and Tweet to Buy. Most recently, Sathish’s team launched the ability for Amex Card Members to Pay with Points in NYC taxi cabs, in the UBER app and at McDonald’s restaurants. Sathish’s experience in several technology leadership positions with American Express, United & Singapore Airlines has led to a diverse functional background in e-commerce, financial services, technology, airline operations, reservations and inventory management. He is credited with a number of patents in the payments and digital technology space.
